Health Assurance Internships and Rotations
During an internship/externship with PIC you will have the opportunity to work with staff Veterinarians and consulting practitioners on research and production projects by the PIC Health Assurance Department.
Student Internship (12 weeks)

PIC is offering an internship for the following positions:
Sales - This program presents an opportunity for Animal Science and Ag Business students, wanting to learn more about agri-sales, to spend time in the field with some of the industry's best.
Genetic Services - This position is geared toward advanced Animal Science and Animal Breeding students. Projects slated for this program will include cost-benefit analysis of multiple genetic strategies and modeling new traits in genetic evaluations.
Genetic Development - This program is design for graduate-level students and will involve hands on research and analysis of large data sets and incorporate elements of global dissemination.
Performance Validation - PIC constantly tests its genetic program in real world settings. The Performance Validation team is looking for Animal Science students wanting experience with data collection and analysis in live and carcass evaluation trials.
Technical Services - Students interested in gaining a better insight to todays' contemporary commercial production systems should consider this internship. The chosen intern(s) will be involved in on-farm production audits and system evaluations.
Health Assurance - PIC's Health Assurance team has designed a focused investigation for Veterinary students. The objectives of this study include assessment, measurement and strategy development in real-time commercial production environments.
